Conference – NAME & CaNOE – August 10 – 12, 2024

RIPPLE EFFECT: Making Waves Together

The Northwest Aquatic and Marine Educators and the Canadian Network for Ocean Education invite educators, researchers, students, and resource professionals from the Pacific Northwest and across Canada to meet, learn, share, and socialize at the 2024 NAME/CaNOE summer conference from August 10–12, 2024. This conference, which will be the 48th annual NAME conference and the 7th CaNOE conference, will be held at beautiful Pearson College UWC, located along the forested shores of the Pacific Ocean on the southernmost tip of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. The conference program will include a variety of plenary sessions, workshops, presentations, field trips, social events, and time for networking. We aim to expand our community through creative collaboration to reach our goals of advancing ocean and aquatic education as part of the climate solution. “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller

A Note About Attendee Lists
It has come to our attention that some members, conference attendees, and/or exhibitors have been receiving emails from rogue list brokers claiming to have access to the NAME/CaNOE summer conference 2024 attendee list for sale. Please note that NAME and CaNOE are not sending these communications, nor are the senders in any way connected to or affiliated with our organization. This scam has been afflicting trade shows where exhibitors are contacted by people fraudulently claiming to be selling the show’s attendee list. NAME does not rent, share, or sell your email or physical address to any third parties or list brokers, and the conference attendee list is not available to the public.
What to do if you receive an email:
  • If you receive an attendee list scam email, do not interact with the sender, and follow your organization’s procedure for reporting SPAM.
  • If emails continue, you may also wish to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission by going to ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
