Since 2015, CaNOE has hosted or co-hosted a biennial Ocean Education Conference. The goals of the conference are to:
- Network, discuss and learn new content and ocean education strategies
- Share activities, lessons and resources that embrace diverse ways of knowing and learning for ocean education in the classroom community and beyond
- Explore and discuss current issues in marine and aquatic science, and the role of place, language and culture in informing solutions
- Discover resources and information from communities and organization that value healthy marine and aquatic ecosystems, and how they can be incorporated into ocean and aquatic education
- And many more!
Our next conference will be in May 2023, and will be a cross-Canada Ocean Education Symposium! If you would like to be a speaker at our conference in one of our 4 locations (Ucluelet, Yellowknife, Montreal, Halifax), please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org
